Is that what everyone's griping about? The animated emojis? There are NON animated emojis available. Just tap the tiny button for the set you want. See the screenshots. The first three on the left are the default sets that come with your phone - standard emojis, dual emojis, and animated emojis. Your sets may be in a different order than mine and you may have to swipe to see any hidden on the right side of the button bar.
Also, the animated emojis are not new. My old phone running Android 12 has them. You're probably only noticing them now because the list of emoji sets may be getting rearranged when Android gets updated and the animated set ended up at the front of the list.

Swipe all the way to the right side of the emoji list and tap the gear icon (next to the bunny in the screenshot on the left).
You can now toggle off any sets that you don't want except the default non-animated set.
If you tap the word "Edit" at the top of the screen, you can change the order your emoji sets appear in the list.
If you tap the plus sign on the far right side of the screenshot on the left, you get a list of custom emojis and sticker sets available in the Galaxy Store (see the screenshot on the right side). Some are free, but some cost money.
If you see a set that you like, just tap on it and you'll be taken to its page in the Galaxy Store where you can see the whole set. Nothing is installed on your phone until you tap the button to buy/install the set.

After updating to OneUI 6, it shifted to the left.
Or maybe someone knows how to turn off the video call, because it does not work for me, and it is not clear to me why there are two call buttons that duplicate each other.
