Awful update of one UI 6. Recently upgraded my s22 ultra to one UI 6 and I really wanna go back. Last time I wrote about the issues in the gallery app, video player in gallery app, and notification panel. After discovering more things about new update is that now I can't play my audio in 2 different Bluetooth speakers at once using media control. I also can't switch back and forth the audio from Bluetooth speaker to my phone speaker and to achieve this I either need to disconnect the speaker or turn off the Bluetooth. This is getting absurd, day by day. These are all my daily activities in life and samsung have completely messed things around and there is no going back. Very poor update from samsung especially at the time of Christmas and season of music. The developers of this upgrade have arbitrarily made changes without thinking about the users.
You've just listed verbatim every issue I have with this update. When I contacted support to try and revert the fonts and appearance back to what it was, I was told I would need to reset ALL my settings to default.
Changes like these are what pushes people away from platforms.
Samsung support's lack of familiarity with One UI 6 issues has proven to be a significant barrier to resolving customer concerns. Their inability to grasp the nature of the problems and provide effective solutions has left many users frustrated and disappointed. This suggests a critical gap in their training and preparedness to handle inquiries related to the latest update.
In Samsung's defense, all software updates must first go thru carrier optimization before being released to the phone. It's weird. I'm not sure how they can't get it how Apple pushes a new update a majority of iPhones get it at the same time based off region.
To put it simply there's to many types of Samsung phone that require to many differing variables to be tailored made for that iteration. Takes nothing to allow users to stay in a certain set of parameters or even a way to choose any point of One u I's many iterations.
Why did my fonts get smaller? I've adjusted them AGAIN but it doesn't make a difference when I open my text messages. Looking at my list I used to be able to make the text bigger using my fingers now nothing makes a difference! We all get older & it sucks, it really sucks when you have a hard time reading your text list because you can't make it bigger. I can still make the messages when I open them bigger with my fingers. I have a large screen so I can make everything easy to read because putting on reading glasses to read my **bleep** phone is not an option! EVER!
I rather like the new look. It did take my old as dirt brain a couple of days to get used to it but I'm happy with the look. Interestingly, my wife who is probably like 90 percent of users , didn't even realize her phone and tablet updated and changed. We might get a new font or two, but any way to revert to the look and functionality of 5? Nope, unless the kids who play with and maintain Good Lock decide to do so, which could happen.
I had issues with my S22 user interface before the update. But responding to taps on the screen, display not auto brightening properly, opening apps when in my pocket, dialing 911 in my pocket, operating at slow speed.
So now this is so called upgrade occurred last night and changed everything I optimized so I could read the poor display which is probably a software issue to begin with. I swore to myself to never buy another Samsung phone tv appliance or anything else they sell because they make it worse every time they release software. Instead of fixing problems they create problems. I guess they call that job security but someone needs to get fired!
