This is on a Galaxy S22 Plus.

After the latest system update, notifications with dark mode on are impossible to read. I don't remember exactly what they looked like before and I unfortunately don't have any screenshots of my own notifications before the update.

I have attached a screenshot of the issue.Screenshot_20240207_003918_One UI Home.jpg

You can either change the contrast so the words are brighter, or change the theme so the bright white is a different color. Either should work fine

Thanks for this suggestion, I'm not precisely sure how the change I made worked with the font colour; but I did change the Colour palette in Wallpaper and style settings from auto to bright green just to test and that has made the font readable with dark mode turned on (the text is still white and I don't know why having the icons be green turns the text from dim white to bright white - but thank you anyway šŸ˜…)

This is mine currently, but I'm on a s21+, though that doesn't make much difference 1707273353664_1707273353656_0.jpg

Are you using a theme? If you are then the problem is the theme and not the update. The person who made that theme needs to update it for the new dark node.

I don't believe I had any themes before or after the update, but thank you for the suggestion regardless šŸ™‚

Have you tried using Good Lock's QuickStar plug-in or Theme Park? Both of these will allow you to change the colors of several components of the Quick Panel. These are all available in the Galaxy Store.

I did recently install a few GoodLock apps about 2 weeks ago, I don't think I tweaked anything to do with changing colours for notifications or home screen though. This was the first thing I checked initially before posting.

I will probably check this plugin out though, currently have a green theme so I can read my notifications again lol.

Thanks

Thanks everyone who replied. Changing my colour palette from automatic (derived from wallpaper) to a basic colour has changed the notification background back to dark mode style and the text is readable.
