My phone gets a health check through Verizon and for the last couple weeks it tells me I need to set a preferred Network mode and I have googled, YouTubed, and asked social media with no luck on figuring this out.

Galaxy S22@asiabo0 More than likely this is something that you would need to contact Verizon to help set up.
But if it is something that Verizon users can control directly, it would most like be in phone settings -> Connections -> Mobile networks OR phone settings -> Connections -> More connection settings.
