S22+ sound notifications not working on Bluetooth after 6.1 update

Hi there, I have an s22+ phone experiencing issues with Bluetooth sound notifications. No alerts can be heard when a Bluetooth headset is connected. For example, nothing can be heard when previewing and navigating between different audio alert sounds. Only when disconnecting Bluetooth can you hear different alert sounds. This issue was happening without Bluetooth; the latest update fixed it, but it looks like they haven't applied the fix to Bluetooth.

Did you check your volume slider panel to make sure the BT audio is active at a level that can be heard?  This particular slider only appears when a BT audio device is connected.

Yes the Bluetooth media slider has volume. The notifications slider is at maximum. Previewing notification sounds can be heard for 3 seconds on Bluetooth headphones before cutting out. My Sony xm4 works completely fine for other things such as phone calls, music and map directions. Notification sounds only work completely when not using headphones.
