I only had to check for updates one time. It took about 30 to 45 seconds, but finally said it was up to date.

I finally sent my s22+ to Samsung for this issue. My last security update was 10-22 and Software Update Interupted was no longer an option. I just received the following as Samsungs fix.
Original Problem:
SOFTWARE UPDATE - MOBILE OS UPDATES - UPDATE STATUS AVAILABILITY
Problem found:
AUTO POWER OFF W/BATT/TEST CAB
Solution:
S/W UPDATED
Sadly I have no idea what that means and will report back after I receive the phone

Thank you for the update and let us know. Hopefully it is fixed for you and hopefully there's a better way to get this resolved for everyone because I know for me I cannot send my phone away for work purposes.
