I cleared the cashe, I started the phone in safe mode, I cleared the system cashe, on startup. Short of global reset. Nothing has worked. The phone is about 4 months old. Seriously considering a different brand phone after this debocal. I also rad a diagnostic and all sensors test normal.

Look for an icon in your quick panel which is labeled Portrait. Click on that. Auto rotate will be enabled, the icon will change and it will be labeled Auto rotate.

does nothing rotate?  Some apps do not allow rotate, and the home screen has to be set to rotate separately from the auto rotate button.

Some apps prefer for the phone to be rotated in one direction, otherwise it's upside down
I assume you tried turning your phone in the other direction ehen this happens.

The auto rotate does not work at all. The s23 + is a failure

@batosman Are you by chance talking about the Home screen? That is a separate setting.

  1. Phone settings
  2. Home screen
  3. Rotate to landscape mode

Where is my auto rotate? Please fix the problem. I have had landscape on my heart's game for years. Now I can't get it off portrait.
