Hello!

I don't know which last update did this, but when I now hold down the home screen and choose wallpaper, it no longer goes directly to my wallpaper folder. There's now three extra steps.

1. I press and hold home screen.
2. The choice pops up at the bottom for wallpaper or widgets.
3. I click wallpaper and it opens to my recent photos with a second tab for albums. There is also three dots on the top right.
4. I have to click the three dots and choose BROWSE which then remembers my last choice of the wallpaper folder.

That's a lot of extra steps. For for years I was able to press and hold the home screen, choose "wallpaper" and it took me directly to that folder. I can't find any option to change it.

Any help would be appreciated

@nancygail I'm guessing that you installed a 3rd party app which is doing this. I tried this on a couple of different phones and both go from clicking the wallpaper icon to Wallpaper and style. Then I can click Change wallpapers and it takes me to Wallpapers.

Are you using a 3rd party launcher?

You could try booting in safe mode. If it works properly while booted in safe mode you know that it is 3rd party software causing it. To boot in safe mode, https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

Well dang it... you're right. I've used Nova Launcher for years and didn't think about it. Sorry for missing the obvious. I'll research a little more on that connection than give them a contact.

Thanks for the reply.
