Galaxy S23Hi
Does burst mode record audio
if it does can you tell if a clip is one or the other ?
Is burst a set number of frames ?
can you tell from the number of frames per second?
or from any other characteristic
Thanks for looking

Galaxy S23Good Evening All
Sorry to be a pain
I have now been told from another source that sound is recorded on Burst mode .
So I would very much appreciate a definitive source that clarified the situation
Or any possible suggestions that would enable me to find out if a clip was the result of burst mode capture or as I am convinced an extract from a 2 minute video clip
the file has a jpg extension and it's size is is 4303KB
I can attach it to an email and send it to anyone that might be a position to help me.
Many thanks for reading
Patrick

Galaxy S23Thanks @LongHiker.
Great idea although I do not have a Samsung phone .
I was filmed in a controversial situation and the owner of the phone sent a "photo " of me along with a complaint to my local authority causing a lot of anxiety.

Galaxy S23@bxman1 I'm not sure why it matters. If they have audio then they have audio.
I confirmed Burst mode does not capture audio.
If you change it to Gif mode it does not capture audio either.
However, in Photo mode if you press and hold the shutter button the camera will capture a video until you let go of the button. This video will, of course, have audio. The Camera mode, before and after pressing the button, will be photo.

Galaxy S23Thanks @LongHiker
You were and are quite correct
I have just, within the last 20 minutes . got confirmation from C/S at Samsung UK
it was just that the gentleman investigation the Complaint rejected your explanation
and claimed that his phone had audio on it when he used it in burst mode
So that I was mistaken when I had claimed the "photo" was an extract from a video recording.
If anyone else has any doubts these are the links provided by Samsung UK.
about photo and video features on your s23 ultra.
Once again thank you and all those I troubled at Samsung UK .
Matter closed I hope . cheers Patrick
ps.
I think the bot removed on of the links that I had copied in
