How do I power off the samsung s23 phone 

 I know stupid question

Long press the power key on the right side of the phone below the volume keys.

Drag the Notifications bar to the bottom and you will see the Logo of Turning the Cell Phone On or Off, you must go to Settings and go to the Power Button Option and set it as it should be like this happened to me when I changed from an S9+ to a S20Ultra I did that to him and that's it. With my S23 base, you can long press the side key then select power off or from home screen, swipe diagonally from top right towards the middle. The expanded menu will appear with the stylized I/O (power) button near top right.
