How to permanently disable DND when using Google maps

How do you permanently disable DND when using Google maps in drive mode? Everything online that I've searched for doesn't seem to work.

Is that the only option? Is there no other way to turn it off and still use driving mode

It's more about using Google Assistant to help you when using the navigation. Turning it off does not limit you to use the navigation. It still tells you to turn left/right etc.
