From @LongHiker
Step 1:
- Go into phone settings and click on Notifications
- Click on Advanced settings
- Scroll down and enable the option "Manage notification categories for each app"
Step 2:
- Long press on the Store icon
- When the little dialog pops up, click the circled i in the upper right.
- Click on Notifications
- Click on Notification categories
- Turn off all the items that you don't want to see.

Having same problem. My Galaxy Store notification settings doesn't have the Category choice. I have turned off badges, lock screen and pop up type notifications but I am still getting lock screen notifications. I texted with a support rep recently who instructed me to select Do Not Show Content option at the bottom of the Galaxy Store notifications settings but that option has disappeared and been replaced by the option to disable lock screen, pop up and badge notifications that is not working as selected. Why doesn't Galaxy Store just allow notifications to be turned off like all other reputable apps?
