Unable to hear incoming calls unless answered by speaker phone?

My wife's s23 ultra only allows her to hear an incoming call by answering the call by speaker phone. We've tried just about everything. Any tips?

@meself Just FYI, the S23 Ultra does not have a headphone jack.

Go into the phone app
click the three dots
settings
there should be an option for "answering and ending calls", check that "answer using speaker" is turned off!
