I have a new S23.  First Android device.  The Samsung Pass is frustrating me.

I put on a screen protector film, so I guess the fingerprinting can't be done.

It's messing up the functionality.  I scanned a QR code for work and it Samsung Pass is automatically prompted.  I login with password and then PIN and automatically prompts me to register my fingerprint that I cannot do.  I cannot remove Samsung Pass without registering a fingerprint right after I login with password and PIN.

What do I do?

Is it possible to take the screen protector off, and then reapply it afterward?

It's bonded to the screen.

Is that the only option?

Not really liking this.

Which screen protector did you purchase? I hear people have success using the Whitestone Dome or amFilm with the fingerprint scanner.

Not sure.  Wifey bought and installed it.

So it sounds the only option is take off the protector?

Very frustrating that it's programmed like this.

Yes, I know.  But there should be another option than always having to use the fingerprint ID.

That's my issue with the Samsung Pass.

Yes, I believe you need at least 1 fingerprint setup to register with Samsung Pass. This is likely due to security reasons. Afterward, you can choose to use Face unlock, but you won't be able to access your wallet with this method. There are probably other password managers where only a master password or pin is required.

Thanks.

I got it to work, but I might have lost my finger.....I had to press down insanely hard.

Thanks again.

I've used protectors with no issues. The ones walmart sells work fine. Their Onn brand. Fingerprint works with it on.
