Why in the world is there a screenshot shutter sound that cannot be disabled without the use of 3rd party apps that drain your battery? One of the big selling points on samsung is that their settings are so customizable and there's not much you can't fiddle with. Now there's this massive annoying sound when taking screenshots leafing strangers to think you're taking pictures of them and annoying myself and coworkers and friends. How do we get them to fix this ?

That is interesting. I hadn't noticed because I've kept my system sound setting to silent for several years now. Just hearing my carrier's familiar jingle when my phone turned on made me cringe. The notification sounds while I was listening to music on Bluetooth or on a call were also very annoying. If I was relaxing or falling asleep, it startled me quite a bit, to say the least . I'm ok with visual alerts if my battery is at 10 and 5%. I don't need an annoying sound to let me know. I'm sorry I can't help, I can only suggest turning off system sounds. I'm certain you won't miss it for long, and it will stop the screenshot shutter sound.

Yes, samsung needs a "turn off shudder sound" toggle in settings. You could just mute your device or vibrate option.

In some countries it is a legal requirement for the camera to make a sound. There are too many people taking surreptitious pictures. Screenshots have the sound because it's helpful in letting you know the screen was actually captured. The only way to turn it off would be to turn off or lower the system sounds. Assuming you want the other system sounds, you can also set a routine to turn off the sound when you open the camera app. It will run automatically when you open the camera and return your volume levels back to normal when you close it. No user input necessary after initially setting up the routine. This will not work for screenshots, however, as the camera is not involved and there is no separate screenshot app.
