White line on half of screen and light stuttering

Got the phone about a week ago and nothing had happened until now yesterday I used the phone more than usual and at night I start seeing alright white line across the middle of the phone and under that line the lighting go up and down not sure if this is something that happens to these phones ot what it could be?

@Reyniel If you just got the phone I would take it back to where you purchased it. You should be within a return purchase window.

Yeah that's what I'll be doing I was planning to get it replaced with the same phone but I don't know if I should in light of what happened
