Finally solved The battery issue that had been plaguing me since release. I have been getting worse battery on my S24U than my P8P at about 24 hours total between charges including standby time.
Nothing suspicious was in my battery stats. I opened up the Shop Samsung app which froze my phone and a few times forced a reboot. I un-installed the app and battery life is amazing with no heating any longer during regular tasks. Turns out the app was corrupted and was trying to sync in the background causing heating and drain.
As a reminder, every so often open up all your apps, especially the ones you don't ever use. This will trigger updates if it is set for deep sleep and you might discover a faulty app you can reinstall.
