Blurry pics when received in text

My husband and I both have samsung s24 phones.  As of three days ago, the pics we text to each other are all of a sudden blurry.  How can I fix this?

I assume this is being sent via text message? I recommend opening your text app (I assume Google messages, the default app). Click on your profile -> messages settings -> RCS chats and ensure it is on. This will allow texts to go over data instead of the old SMS system.

Next, in messages settings... uncheck "send photos faster" which will send a higher resolution photo.

Ensure this is all done on both phones to ensure you are both using the same settings.

That's because iphone doesn't "yet" support RCS. Iphone uses the older SMS standard when communicating with any phone other than iphone. If you want high quality photos sent from iphone to android, they have to send it to you by different means such as WhatsApp, Google photos or something else

That may be a factor, but this answer seems inconsistent.

How did older iPhones (as they now have RCS messaging) and/or older Androids (which didn't use RCS) send clear pictures with the default messaging app? I've definitely received clear pictures from older devices. What else would keep multimedia messages from coming through clearly?

Using an S20FE for reference (which doesn't have the "send photos faster" option from what I see. I believe it also still uses Samsung messages).

I am having the same problem so I checked my message settings and RCS chats is enabled.  I cannot find anything about "send photos faster".  There has to be a better explanation then maybe the iphone's older.  In my case, the people sending pictures with iphones, all have new enough phones to have RCS chats. 

Like the other post said older android we're able to receive pictures clearly from "newer" phones. 

This is ridiculous, it's been going on for months.  I was hoping the new One UI 7 update would fix the issue but it hasn't.  Can we get someone who can actually fix this issue please?
