Google messages is trash as heck I mistakenly deleted my messages and now I can't recover them. I have been a Samsung user for years but after this I'm going to apple

That's a shame, because Google Messages doesn't support Bixby.

The key takeaway in your post is "I mistakenly deleted my messages". You can mistakenly delete messages on any device, Apple or Android. If I mistakenly throw away my winning lottery ticket, I can blame the trash truck. As others have indicated: if you're prone to deleting things without being really sure you want to delete them, get a messaging app with an archive or recycle bin function. I use Textra, which requires me to select the delete button and then tap it twice before it deletes (it also offers a send delay so I can stop a message if there's a typo in it, allowing me the chance to fix it).

I use an app called SMS Backup and Restore and backup my texts once a week. You can set it to everyday if you wish. I have mine backed up to Google Drive and to my device also, it recommends not to backup to device alone. About every few months I go in and delete the old files since it keeps a separate file each time it is backed up, I do this to free up the space.

Google messages may not be the greatest messaging app but I like it for it simplicity. It does what I need it to. If ones wants RCS messaging there really is no choice. If you are not using the RCS features then get Textra or one of the other messaging apps.

If you deleted them, they've gone bye bye.

You think you're punishing Samsung by buying Apple for you not being able to recover messages on Google...Yep your logic is pretty flawed.

See ya bye

PS let's note that you blame Samsung and Google for your mistake
