Hey all

So I just got my S24 Ultra a few weeks ago, and I've noticed that whenever I'm streaming anything (whether it be on WiFi or cellular data) on TikTok, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Instagram Reels, etc., the video gets choppy/laggy randomly, and as soon as I touch the screen it becomes smooth again, or it smoothens out after a few seconds and then gets back to being choppy/laggy. Has anyone else has this issue?

Samsung support couldn't help one bit - They pretty much told me reset my settings, which I did, and it still didn't fix the issue. Once I told them that it was still persisting, they recommended I take it to a UBreakIFix store and they couldn't help me either and said they don't know why Samsung would even send me to them.

The problem is adaptive display kicks in and if you open your developer options and show frames per second what happens is it kicks it down to only 24 frames a second is why everybody and I called Samsung about this issue as well when streaming services are playing full screen the adaptive display will kick it down to 24 frames per second meaning you will get choppy laggy video. This I noticed about a year ago luckily there is a workaround for it a app called Galaxy max hz so I use that and I sent all my streaming apps to 60 frames a second so when I open up any streaming app it will automatically play at 60 frames a second I can set it higher or lower whichever I choose. But this is Samsung's fault and something that needs to be fixed because it should not be dropping down below 30 frames a second while watching any video. And that's what the problem is

I think we can all agree the damaging s24 is hot garbage. Can't load images half the time, can't load videos majority of the time. My s21 on 5g ran 100x better than this s24 on any network
