Galaxy S24 Ultra Video Playback Lag

Hey all

So I just got my S24 Ultra a few weeks ago, and I've noticed that whenever I'm streaming anything (whether it be on WiFi or cellular data) on TikTok, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Instagram Reels, etc., the video gets choppy/laggy randomly, and as soon as I touch the screen it becomes smooth again, or it smoothens out after a few seconds and then gets back to being choppy/laggy. Has anyone else has this issue? 

Samsung support couldn't help one bit - They pretty much told me reset my settings, which I did, and it still didn't fix the issue. Once I told them that it was still persisting, they recommended I take it to a UBreakIFix store and they couldn't help me either and said they don't know why Samsung would even send me to them.

Yup You are exactly right I called Samsung about a year ago about this very issue It should not be playing at 24 frames a second It should be playing at at least a minimum of 30 frames a second.

S24 - I'm having issues with the keyboard lagging and taking more than a few seconds to catch up, videos lag - instagram has become unusable, scrolling can be delayed and music playback also jumps/misses bits out of songs.

Really unhappy with my new phone.

I had the same issue with the keyboard so I returned the phone and got a new one (same model) hoping it was a defective phone, but I had the same issue with the Instagram app on the new phone.

Facing exact same problem. It is really annoying. My one plus worked better than this.

Just change battery optimization of that app to Unrestricted. Go to App Setting > Battery > Unrestricted.

Tried this but it hasn't made a difference 😔 I get lag with the keyboard, videos, music (the most annoying of the issues), scrolling.

Is there anything else I could try?

The issue seems to be spread across alot of different apps (instagram, fb videos, YouTube, ect.) Instagram is the worst for me at the moment but I do not use prime video.

Having this issue with download videos also, I tried samsung video player and VLC, but same issue, videos are like snagging after every 5-8 sec, there is like buffer,like a half sec buffer.
