Headphones Symbol Missing While Headphones Are in Use

I have the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The headphones symbol no longer appears in notifications while headphones are in use. Does anyone know why? Thanks.

Seems like a change that Samsung has made. The icon appears temporarily when you connect them but then disappears.
