Trying to update my S23 Ultra with the most recent update but it keeps failing. I have a locked Verizon phone. Everytime I try to update, it's super slow and eventually fails giving my "Error Code: 407". I tried clearing cache, clearing data, restarting my phone, using Smart Switch, switching between wifi and data, switching between different wifi networks. I have enough space on my phone (300gb free). If I knew what the error code meant, I could diagnose further. Google hasn't been helpful. Samsung support hasn't been helpful. They are telling me to manually flash my device but I wanna leave that as a last resort. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone, Welcome and thank you for being part of the Community. We appreciate everyone bringing attention to this matter.

Verizon is aware of performance issues that began with the attempted installation of the most recent security update. Verizon has advised they are working to get these concerns resolved. 

The phones can be updated using Smart Switch. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/smart-switch 

Many have posted by putting the phone in Safe Mode will allow the update to install; however, it is a very slow process. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495/

We recommend clearing the cache partition after completing the update to avoid continued concerns. 

- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.

Same here. It gets yo about 10% then fails.

I noticed if I restart the update, I can get a little further. I'm gonna try to keep restarting it everytime it fails. Maybe I can slowly inch it along but something is definitely wrong lol.

I have a s22 ultra and I'm currently having the same issue with the update....

Mine is doing the same thing. I've done everything, called tech support, they wanted me to da factory reset, said no, ended up going to a Verizon corporate store and they had no resolution. I have the 22 ultra and the 25 ultra is coming out tomorrow, I'll see what kind of a deal I can get. I would appreciate if anyone has found a way to fix this problem.

I put mine on safe mode, it took 3 an a half hours but it did update. Was still very slow but never said failed

Did you have any problems after the update was successfully installed? I hope that this update doesn't mess up the phone. Because the last time an update cause a big issue was when the S22 Ultra phones did not connect to the network.

No problems after update finally was successful. My friend with the s 24 ultra is having the same problem updating, so it's a widespread problem. I called Samsung and informed them

Yes it is a wide spread problem because I checked my dad's 2 24 an sure enough the update was there and like my S22 ultra it was downloading painfully slow, I'm not sure how far along it got I'll have to check it later to see if it downloaded. My S22 has been downloading the update for the better part of an hour and has just reached 15% which is big progress from my attempts yesterday when I don't think it got past 4% lol hopefully today it goes through.
