Galaxy S24Starting either late last night or this morning there is an e-mail icon in the left corner and notification of "syncing emails...." and notification says "1 active in background>. When I click on that it says check background activity and notes email is running. I think this was caused by some update in the past few days but not sure how to go back to prior. Not sure if this is using battery to keep trying to sync.
I've cleared the cache, closed the program, etc but nothing seems to fix this.
Any pros know if there is a fix in the works? Thanks.

Galaxy S24Hi. It started with my phone last night. Rebooting didn't work nor pressing clear button-"clear" doesn't even light up so that wasn't even option. So I went to the settings and chose app management and under notifications, I searched for "emails" and turned it off and back on again after few minutes and so far it seems to be working.

Galaxy S24Its the Samsung Email App. You can find it in the Samsung Folder. It wants you to register your emails to it. You can disable Notifications to get rid of the message.

Galaxy S24I turned off the email notifications and then turned the notifications back on.
So far so good, it's worked.

Galaxy S24Go down to APPS
Go down to EMAIL
Go down to NOTIFICATION CATEGORIES
Go down to EMAIL SYNC NOTIFICATION
Turn it off
How to change sync frequency
Open email app
Open the 3 bar drop-down menu on the left side
Click the setting icon
Click the email address you want to change
Click email sync schedule
Click set sync schedule
Choose how often you want it to sync (I chose once a day)
Repeat these steps if you have multiple emails.
These are the steps I used on my S21 Ultra. I don't know if it still runs in the background (that didn't really matter to me). My email only syncs once a day now, and I don't have the pesky notification hanging out anymore.
I hope this helps!
