As many of us are experiencing these camera issues where the post processing ruins images taken by making them grainy or too saturated. I found temporarily that using the camera in safe mode and airplane mode gave me way better results when using the camera . Hopefully they fix this soon

UPDATE
Turns out my camera issue is a hardware issue. I spoke to representative and there are no updates coming for the camera, only for the screen issues. I will return mine an get a new device. Seems I got a early model that was part of a bad batch.

Update: got my replacement device today NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE. now this is what the s24 ultra is supposed to be. WOW I can't believe the difference. The screen for sure is way brighter and more colorful and the camera is amazing and no issues with post processing ruining images. If anything it just makes them way better. I can't believe what a difference there is between the devices

Mine were present from the very first photo I took in expert raw & viewed in lightroom. I think it's a bug on Samsung's end. They just need to identify & fix it

How does the "edit / light" tab look? Is it really all on 0?

I deleted expertraw & cleared cache. Deleted lr & cleared cache. Thinking, maybe, it was a setting somewhere. Reinstalled both apps & still the same result. Generated a help ticket with Samsung but it's gone unanswered.

Ok, update time! There is now a "lossless raw" toggle in the settings in the expert raw app. If I turn lossless raw off then shoot pictures, those pictures act normally within lightroom. If lossless raw is turned on then those pictures act like the examples provided in the post when imported into lightroom.

"Lossless raw" is not a thing, raw should be lossless by definition. But you can compress lossy and lossless, they always had the compression options before the S24U release. With the S24U release the compression was no longer optional and active.

They just deactivated (changed?) compression with the release before this one because it caused extreme color banding in lowlight photos. They probably found the cause and brought the compression "lossless raw(compression)" back and made it optional again like on the devices before the S24u.

But interesting maybe some kind of forced compression remained with the update before. Still odd that others could not replicate that issue.

I also have an issue with RAW files. Importing and editing RAW files in Photoshop works fine but after export to JPG, the colours are flat/dull.

I tried several colour profiles (Adobe RGB, etc) but nothing has impact on the output being colour flat/dull. It does not matter whether I view the photos on my laptop (where Photoshop is installed) or phone.

When editing the photos in Photoshop during the RAW editing workflow, everything looks great.

I'm seeing this issue as well with DNG ExpertRaw files from an S22 Ultra, with latest versions of Expert Raw app and Lightroom Classic as of July 2, 2024.
