S24 ultra not showing Samsung cloud back up option

Under accounts and backup settings it does not show samsung cloud to be able to use to back up the phone.

Stick a thumb drive in your port and back it up.
Why rely on cloud services to back up your device?

You can loose that easily. Need to accept the fact that the cloud is the best way.

How do you lose that easily? It goes in a drawer until needed. You can also do a backup on your computer.

I was just actually looking at that myself and had the same exact question! Also, this thing seems to be really crazy because it shows different menus and when trying to add a recovery email it sends a code to that email, but when returning to Samsung cloud page to put the code in it disappeared!!! There's no way to enter the code to finish the process!!! That's crazy

And to the comment about a thumb drive and why depend on cloud, that's kinda not the point. Sure we could do that but our product gives us a cloud service to be used and we have a right to use it and have legit questions about it. So offering an alternative is totally besides the point, I'm sorry to challenge your suggestion albeit a decent suggestion.

@br0beWanKenobi Are you using Verizon? Verizon blocks access to Samsung Cloud.

Just out of curiosity, does Verizon block access on all phones on their network or just Verizon locked phones?  If one has an unlocked phone will they still have the option to back up to the cloud?  It seems like Verizon blocks so many features, I wonder why people stay with them. I have always had a general disdain for Verizon, so I never considered them as an option for a carrier.

From previous posts, it doesn't appear to matter if your device is a carrier device or Samsung unlocked.
