I apologize if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I couldn't find it.

I just upgraded to a Galaxy S24 plus and, so far, I'm very pleased. I do have one issue that I can't find the answer to; I have my screen timeout set to 2 minutes but it always resets itself to 20 seconds.
Google is of no use as their answer is to adjust the screen timeout in settings. That's the issue, the settings don't stay set.

I do have the keep on while looking at the screen set to on but it only seems to work when it wants to.

Samsung chat support had me on till the early morning and still didn't resolve the issue internally.
I decided to try an external fix and downloaded Caffeine to keep the screen alive. So far so good.

Thank you for your patience and all those steps with the easy to follow pictures, that actually matched my phone, unlike most solutions posted so many places.

Your solution worked for a while about a month ago, but now my screen timeout just goes back to 20 seconds almost immediately.  My phone did have some sort of update since then.

I've cleared every kind of cache with my AppManager III app and also cleared the cache of My Device Health Services individually through your drilled down location.  (I forgot to look if it had anything there, first.)

I'm on an A54 5G  under Android 14 One UI version 6.1, Knox version 3.10.  My Device Health Services  is version  1.26.0.539008430.release.

Does you patience extend sufficiently to allow you to further consider this issue that so many people have for a different grandpa who is fairly new to flat cell phones and completely new to this forum?   (I hope I can find my way back)

Exact same phone as me. Finally gave up and downloaded the Caffeine app and it seems to have solved the issue. It's a free app so no problem installing.

Hello, when you select show system apps, you have to select OK on the bottom. Worked for me after since I was having the same issue
