Text Messages stopped coming in

Edit: Turns out the only fix was to get a new sim card. Once I entered the new sim all my missed text flooded in.

I recently had my primary service temporarily suspended and was using service through a trial esim. Once I was back to my original service, I no longer was receiving text via Google Messages. RCS says it's setting up and is stuck verifying the number, in advanced setting my phone number says "unknown". A friend has been texting me but I can't see them.

Things I've tried:
- restart the device
- turn off the esim
- double checked the sim is the primary number on the device
- called t-mobile, they couldn't fix (edit)
- uninstall updates, cleared cache, cleared data for Google messages (edit)
- tried samsung messages (edit)
- reset all network settings (edit)
- reset all settings (edit)

Is there a fix? Anyone else with a sim and esim have this problem?

Oh and I'm using the S24 Ultra if it makes a difference.

Edit: I discovered i can send text just fine, I just can't receive them. My T-mobile account also shows my account not receiving text. Is it because I had a esim of a different carrier at one point?

You would need to contact your carrier they may need to re setup your account for texting.

Try uninstalling all updates for Google messages and then clear the cache and data from messages, and then update messages via the Google Play store, This will result in restarting the Rcs Stack, my phone is not listed in the Advanced settings, This doesn't affect your text messages1730380855092.jpg

I have deleted the cache and data (not sure how to uninstall the updates) and no luck.

Open Google messages and then on the top right side tap on the 3 dots, this will uninstall all updates, then clear the cache and data from messages again, Next Open the Google Play store, update messages again, then open messages this should result in the Rcs reconnecting , 1730384739822.jpg1730384739836.jpg

If this doesn't work, repeat the above steps, and this time, enable airplane mode for a few minutes and reboot your phone, Google messages should automatically connect your phone to the RCS server, but sometimes it gets Stuck, By uninstalling all updates you are rolling back to the Stock app, please let me know if you are able to connect?

This did not work, thanks though. It looks like it might be on my providers end, they recommend a new sim card.

Before you try swapping out your SIM card, open your settings, and then select About your Phone and reset your mobile data settings, this will result in resetting your mobile network settings if you can make and receive calls it's not your sim card, please try this before you swapping out your SIM 1730391218367.jpg

You would need to talk to your provider as I mentioned above they didnā€™t setup texting when they re enabled your account
