I use my phone for work. I have a work text thread I have to update and respond to. It hasn't been working since the update. I can't send a response in my work thread, but I can receive the texts from everyone else in the thread.
Also I can no longer text certain people. I called my phone company and they said they've heard this before and the problem is the update disabled something. Tech support just told me my message app( both samsung and google) were working.
I've restarted it. Turned the RCS thing on and off.
Please try clearing the cache from Google messages and then make sure you update Google Play services and carrier services, then reboot your phone. If that doesn't work, you can clear the cache and data from Google messages, which will automatically reset the application, and you won't lose your messages.
