I can't seem to be able to factory reset my S25U.

I have tried everything, when I get to the screen where I click Delete all (after putting my lock screen password) it will ask me for my Samsung account password, I put it in, it just signs me off my Samsung account and goes back to the first screen where it Says Factory data reset.

If I go through the process again. It will get to the part where it asks me to put my Samsung Acc password and it will sign me into Samsung account. But the factory reset never happens.

Ironically I didn't realize I was typing this message first on my 24U and I resetted that device instead.

But my 25U I don't know if it's a bug in the OS but I cannot factory reset my S25U.

Anyone has encountered this?

Force boot it into recovery mode and reset from there.

1. Power off your Galaxy phone. Hold Power and vol up buttons until Samsung Logo appears

2. Let go of both buttons when you see the Samsung Logo appear on screen. Then tap the volume up button. There will be a delay while it enters recovery mode.

3. Use the volume buttons to navigate through recovery menu options and highlight “factory reset” Press power button to select this option. Confirm by navigating to the yes response and tapping the power button to select.

5 . When reset is complete, "reboot system now" should be highlighted; press power key to select it. Or it will just reboot on its own. The phone will reboot as normal and then you can log into your accounts and restore your backup or start clean.

I did do the factory reset via the bootloader, and the phone restarted, my esim was still there, it didn't get erased.

After I added my gmail and Samsung account and finish setting up, I went and tried again doing the factory reset via the settings. and nothing happens is the same thing over and over again. It has to be a bug or something with my OS. I also feel like the Bootloader factory reset maybe was not 100% since my Google Fi phone line was still working?

thanks.

Usually the sim data stays with a reset. If you do it from the settings, it usually asks if you want to keep the network info. I guess it doesn't by that method. Is that why you are trying to reset? To get rid of the network settings? You can just reset that without resetting the phone.

Mo my IT department asked me to reset since my device will not create a work profile, I saw some post already about it here. Seems to be an issue right now. Hope it gets resolved if not I'll have to return it.

That's why I was trying to reset it to factory settings.

But it's odd that I can't do it via the settings app. And I still can't.

Not sure a factory reset is the answer to the work profile issue

I'm sure is not, but now I'm just so curious on why resetting to factory settings doesn't work on this device. My 24U rested to factory settings with no issues

If you have some issues a factory reset may help but not for a profile issue if nothing else is acting up I'm not familiar with the s25 I'm and outs yet bit it's very close to the s24 small changes to s25

can check if your Android device is enrolled in the MDM and has a work profile by going to the Passwords, passkeys & accounts page in your device's Settings app. This is also where you can delete the Work Profile from your device.
