With the I-Phone, when your phone is laying on the table and you're using the Speakerphone, the screen is always on, so keys can be pressed when prompted.  (Many banking and government systems require periodic interaction with the keyboard).

With this new Samsung S25-Ultra, the screen goes jet black in less than a minute.  I have the screen time-out set for 10 minutes, so there's no way it should be going black after 1 minute....but it does!

Is there some User or hidden "developer" setting that will allow me to keep the screen on while the phone is in speaker-phone mode?

Thanks in advance for any helpful guidance.

@AllenInChicago Unfortunately this is not something new introduced in the S25 Ultra. This "feature" has been in the Samsung phones since at least the Note 10. There is no way to disable it.

You can tap the side button or periodically double tap the screen to keep the screen awake.

That's too bad.  Guess I'll have to find a 3rd party app to make the screen stay illuminated while on Speakerphone or a BlueTooth headset.   It's a good thing the S25-Ultra has a superior camera, or I'd do a quick swap over to I-phone.

It wasn't that many years ago when Samsung was FAR superior to I-phone.  I'd brag to I-Phone toting relatives and friends how my Samsung Android had replaceable battery, upgradable storage, a blinking light when messages were waiting, and more goodies, because Samsung didn't treat us like dumb people who needed our hands held all the time.   Now...the tables have turned a bit.  That's Too bad.  Have a great year LongHiker.
