I upgraded to the s25 ultra from the z flip 5 and I had no idea the music player was in the quick panel and not notifications. It's so incredibly tedious and obnoxious having to pause music now etc

Another issue I have is that you can no longer organize apps by alphabetical order without it making you scroll up and down when that's not how I prefer it. I prefer left and right so I spent 3 hours organizing my apps in alphabetical order because of this overall I just hate one ui7 it's so inconvenient and not user friendly

Why did Samsung think that this was ok??? I almost wanna return the phone and keep my flip 5 🙃

I have the same problem and it's very frustrating. I used to be able to put the buds in and tap them to start playing music on SiriusXM. It worked perfectly on the S24. When I upgraded to the S25 it will only play from YouTube music. I hope Samsung fixes this so we can select the music we want to listen to again. This is ridiculous to take that option away from us.

I'm not sure what governs what exactly is default and why some programs automatically default without user intervention. I think it all has to do with the NOW bar since the player is always starting from that interface. In my case, I installed an app called Power Amp, and although I use it, I want my Liked list from Spotify to play by default. I can't find anything to fix it

Please add the media player back to the top of the quick notifications so that I can use it with one swipe and not two! Please add it back to the top of the lock screen as well. Please add search back to the top.

Users want customizability. PLEASE give us the option!

The music widget will automatically show at the bottom of the lockscreen if the music app is active. But another can be added to it using the Lockstar plugin with the Good Lock app from Samsung. Downlosd the app from the Galaxy Store, open it and then install the LockStsr plugin and go from there.

As far as one swipe, that can be changed in the quick panel editor. Pull down the quick panel, click on the pen icon, then click on the Panel settings button and then choose separate. That will enable one swipe. The left top side swipe will pull down the notifications, the right side the quick panel. If you want the music player at the top, open the editor again (pen icon), the press, hold and drag the music player box, then move it to the top. Here is my lockscreen with the added music player (it's now redundant).

I will look into the goodlock app. Thank you.

The problem is that I prefer together, not separate. Is there a way to have the media player player work with one swipe while together is enabled?

As of now no, it will be added in a later update.

What @Robin621k said about the update, which should be very soon ( 🙏). So for now there's no way under the together setting to place the media player at the top. You could put the media player widget on the home screen to see it right away, but I totally get preferences. The QP look is similar to the previous One UI versions. Personally, I'd rather have that with the abitity to customize where I want the functions stacked.

I think the current total quick panel, the nests are just too big and they take up a substantial amount of room in the whole quick panel.

I truly cannot understand what made Samsung ruin such a tried and true UI element and hide the now playing music and video persistent notification in the expanded notification panel.

It has completely ruined the way I use my phone, you used to be able to swipe down and have it right there.

It's not gone you just have to swipe down on the right side of the screen and the left side for the other stuff it confused me to but now I got the hang of it 😂😂

Yes I know about that mechanic, I'm not a fan of it. I rarely use the fully expanded panel so it's inconvenient
