I installed company portal on my new S25 Ultra and signed using my work credentials and then I press Begin to create a Work Profile. It does something for 3-5 seconds and gives me an error "Can't add Work Profile'.
I checked with my company's IT Admin and there are no policy restrictions and they asked me to try on other devices.
I tried it then on my Note 20 Ultra and S24 Ultra and it worked fine. Seems like there is an issue with S25 software compatibility or something.
I called Samsung Care and they blindly shirked off their hands and told me to contact my IT Department š Pretty useless. If there is no solution I might have to return the phone since I can't have a phone without my work email and apps.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Galaxy S25This not fixed with with Company portal. If you've been able to get this to work please provide step by step process. I've updated my phone uninstalled Company Portal Outlook and tried and still get the same error.

Galaxy S25Do you have Android Device Policy installed? I don't think it'll show in your app drawer, so search for it on the Play Store.
I couldn't get my work profile setup, but as soon as I installed Device Policy it worked right away. You don't need to do anything within Device Policy, just install it then start the Intune setup process as usual

Galaxy S25Samsung pushed an update just now. Tried adding work profile. Unfortunately, the update did not resolve our problem.

Galaxy S25Incredibly disappointing how unresponsive Samsung is. I have the phone for a month now, having to use a second phone for my work now. When I ask Samsung why it doesn't work I don't get a proper answer, just acknowledging that it does not work. Next time, don't launch a phone if you deliver it half finished.

Galaxy S25Have you got Android Device Policy installed from the Play Store?
As soon as I installed this it fixed it, and I don't know why it wasn't installed on the phone in the first place
