I've been an avid Samsung user for many years, and just upgraded from the s24 ultra to the s25 ultra. The s25 is playing the same notification sound for every single app. For example, my WhatsApp, ring doorbell, text messages, Facebook, Gmail, etc all make the same alert sound and there's no way to make the app play their default sounds. I spoke with 2 different Samsung employees on chat and they both told me it was not possible and they have no record of notification issues. So, I proceed to drive to an authorized repair shop and they told me its a Samsung software issue and my best bet is to return the phone until Samsung fixes their issue.

Galaxy S25Make sure "Manage notification categories for each app" is turned on, that way you can change the notification for each individual app.

Galaxy S25I'm not looking to change the notifications for each app to the generic options listed. I want each app to play the notification sound that the app comes with. For example, my ring doorbell should be making the annoying ring sound that it's so well known for. But even with the settings you suggested, it still makes the same exact sound that everything else on my phone does.

Galaxy S25Have you tried changing the notification settings from inside the app, using the app settings? I believe you can set it to app provided sound. Otherwise, since you have reset your phone and it's still behaving this way, put in an error report through your device care settings or the support tab in the members app.

Galaxy S25Out of curiosity, have you tried changing the individual sounds. In some cases, the "app provided sound" appears in the sound picker. Or have you tried changing your default notification sound to see if the apps return to their provided sound?

Galaxy S25I have the same problem with my S25 Ultra. I have found a fix, which is not perfect but seems to work.
First, I downloaded the Zedge app to get the desired notification sounds. Once downloaded, they will show as notification options in your settings.
Settings
Notifications
App Notifications
From list select your app you want to change
Notifications Catigories
Message Notifications, here you will be albe to select your sound
These steps will allow you to change your notification on each individual app. Kind of a pain but it does work.
