Screen protector

I have anS25ultra and am wondering about the need for a screen protector. I'm generally pretty gentle with my phonesnabd did not have one on my S24ultra. Just wondering what people think.

They help a great deal, especially aiding to prevent scratches to the screen. When if one trades in their device, not having scratches is a big factor to trade in values. @Robin621k knows the source of a good protectors that also has anti-reflective properties natively on the S25 Ultra screen.

I don't use a screen protector on my phone. I do use a case, however.  The raised sides of the case prevent the screen from getting scratched if the phone is face down, and also prevents the glass from directly hitting a surface should the phone be dropped.  If you keep it in your pocket with no other objects, it should be enough protection not to scratch it. Don't put it in a pocket or purse next to keys, though.  I've never had a scratched screen - not even in the days before Gorilla Glass.  Did have a cracked screen on one phone because my cat knocked it onto a tile floor without case on it. Always used a case since then.

I use this screen protector because it has a matte finish. I have found that since Samsung has started using the Corning Gorilla Armor anti-reflective glass, it is more prone to the olephobic coating wearing off. Also, this version of the glass while being stronger for drop protection, it is more prone to micro scratches. I have tried 3 screen protectors, and 2 of them were clear glass, 1 matte glass. I didn't like the clear glass outdoors they were too reflective.
The 3rd was the charm, easy installation, fingerprint reader works flawlessly. When installed, I recommend waiting 20 minutes to let it cure to test your fingerprints. Most people make the mistake of testing them right away. That's why some don't register properly, forcing users to delete them and registering them again.

@user4KYqfDkRk8 I haven't used a screen protector in a long time and have had no issues. I did put Samsung's Anti-reflective screen protector on my Fold 6 because of glare, not really to protect the screen. 

Samsung's Anti-reflective screen protectors for the Fold 6 and S25 Ultra are extremely easy to install. It looks like the one for the S25 Ultra is currently out of stock at Samsung.com.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I'll give this some thought but I appreciate everyone's input
