I just got the watch today brand new and have been fighting with the app for 4 hours trying to get my watch to connect. It will tell me no device found then all of the sudden it will find it and say checking number on watch then will go back to scanning. I have made it past that 3 times to where it was downloading and then gets to 80 percent and goes back to scanning for devices.....HELP
At this point, if you had a Samsung phone, I would suggest resetting your Bluetooth connectivity; however, I'm not sure how to tell you to do so on a non-Samsung phone, such as yours.
