My Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will not recognize ththat it is on my wrist because I have a dark tattoo where the watch sits. Works just fine on the opposite wrist but that is not where I wear my watch. You would think that with all the people having tattoos today that this shouldn't be an issue. Definitely needs looked into. If there is a fix some how to get it to recognize that it is on , that would be great, but where? Do people of darker color have problems like this also?

There used to be a setting to turn off wrist detection. I can't find it now.

I have looked everywhere and can not find that option or anything referencing that.

Found it. It's in the settings on the watch itself. Swipe up to the apps screen, select the settings gear, choose security and privacy, scroll all the way down to wrist detection and slide it off.

You are welcome. While I was looking for the wrist detection setting in the Wear app, I had noticed the ability to change my watch PIN was gone and it was driving me crazy -- what if I needed to change or disable my PIN? I decided to check the watch settings and found it and the wrist detection. Couldn't figure out why wrist detection was under security, but I guess it makes sesnse uf you consider that the watch is unlocked when off the wrist if detection is off.

Would you mind marking my response as the solution?

I wanted to thank you for this thread. After receiving the UI 6.0 update, my galaxy watch 4 classic has been locking when ever the watch goes to sleep. This causes workouts and sleep data to pause. My only option was to turn locking off. By doing so, PAY could not be used. Using this technique. I can stop the locking issue and still use PAY. šŸ˜Š

You're welcome! There have been so many different things not acting right since the update. I'm trying to fix stuff one at a time.
