Galaxy Watch 6 Cannot Edit Distance On Treadmill

I've been using the treadmill option in the fitness tracker on my Galaxy Watch 6 for about a year about 4 times a week. For about that time, whenever I would finish my workout, it's allowed me to edit the distance I've gone, which I usually do as it's typically off from my treadmill. As of the last 2-3ish weeks it hasn't been giving me the option and has just been tracking a slightly off distance.

Has anyone else had this issue and does anyone know of a way to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

Just curious as to why you think it's the watch that's wrong and not the treadmill? Treadmills are calibrated by how the gears rotate; your watch calibrates your movements.

Well, I hold onto the treadmill because I walk at an incline so my arms don't move too much.

Oh, ok. I hold onto the treadmill also, but I haven't been on a treadmill since I've gotten my watch, so I really didn't think it tracked distance, since there's nothing in the settings that says it does.

This is my issue as well. I sometimes hold on the treadmill and it only records 1 to 1.5 miles for 1 hour when normally when I walk on the street that same time gives me over 3 mi.

When you walk on the street you have arm movement.  You are also being tracked via GPS.  On the treadmill there is no GPS to track you, so I suspect it would be more accurate with some arm movement.  I see many people do not hold on like us weenies (I don't know how they don't slide off). Is it possible for you to hold on with one hand so the watch hand has some movement, as an experiment in accuracy?
