The weirdest thing has happened a couple times and now I'm concerned. For no apparent reason, my watch keeps doin a forced reset. I then have to go through the whole process of setting it up again. This time around it completely changed the way my watch is set up. Face, settings and icon order. Can anyone help me understand why this is happening? This thing cost too much and is only 4 months old. šŸ˜”

I'm betting they will return it saying there is nothing wrong with it or that they fixed it. This is not a hardware issue. The last software update has a defect.

You're right. I'm actually holding off from sending it in for "repair" I know that I started to get this issue after the most recent update. That said I was hoping that Samsung would simply replace with a watch that did not have the most recent update preinstalled. This way I could forgo the recent update and have use of my watch until the new update comes out.

Alternatively, your "repaired" watch may be blessed w/ a NEW beta software update w/ the "fix" for this bug...  HaaHaa...  You may be a trailblazer.  šŸ™‚

Just kidding, I'm back to reality.  Even if that was the case, I don't think it's worth giving up your otherwise functional watch for them to just send it back to you or replace w/ another refurb'd watch that has the same, defective software.

If you do send it in for "repair", keep us posted!  šŸ™‚

Hahaha...would love to be a trailblazer but keeping the realistic hat on for the time being. I'm not too fond of receiving a refurbished replacement. However, I will wait things out a week or two before sending in. But I will definitely post an update on next steps from Samsung.

I do think this was a software bug as my watch was flawless previous to the recent update.

So far, I have not been forced to factory reset after the last one about 10 days ago. It forced a reset twice since the Jan update. On the second time, I first did the clear cache process hoping I wouldn't have to factory reset. I still had to reset but so far I haven't had to again. I even let the battery drain to where the watch goes to watch only mode and turns off Bluetooth and still no forced reset. I'm still not convinced it's solved, but so far it's not happening to me any longer.

To do what I did, next time it forces a reset do a clear cache first. Then do the reset. The clear cache process is a sticky on the watch forum.

Hello.  While I understand that this comment isn't necessarily related to the original technical issue, please bear w/ me because I feel it *IS* relevant to (at least my) previous posts on this thread.  And I feel compelled to call myself out on it.

Re-reading through this thread, I want to formally apologize.  Many of my attempts to reply to a specific comment appear as a reply to the original post instead, making the conversation more difficult to follow.

Not sure if it's user error on my part, or some wonky forum behavior, but I'll do my best to pay better attention going forward.

Thanks in advance for your patience & understanding.

It's not you. The UI/UX of this forum is terrible. Makes it easy to reply to the wrong post and very hard to proofread your post before submitting. I only came her to see if others were experiencing the same thing I was. Looks like many people are.

Ideally, each thread is about one topic and has a documented solution before it's closed. Sadly, this is not how it seems to go. Even on well moderated forums, it's hard to keep clean. Good luck everyone.

I've posted about my results after I cleared the cache which seems to have done the trick at least for forced resets. Maybe too early to tell, but almost 2 weeks without one. You should try it. Maybe it will work for you.

I've had my watch for a while now, no new phone or anything and almost everytime I charge it, it disconnects from my phone, it makes me have to reset and reconnect it everytime and it's getting really annoying. Has anyone else had this same reoccurring issue?

I have had the same problem. Once or twice a week since I got it on January 20th. It loses its connection to my S24 Ultra. Then it takes several tries to get them to reconnect even after resets and reboots. I've reset all my wifi/Bluetooth connections on the phone, also. The backup helps, but I still have to uninstall apps that get reinstalled and reconfigure my watch face every time. About an hour of time a week.
