I am really not loving this Samsung support model, which appears to be "let's start a community and let users solve each other's problems and we won't have to do anything at all" and maybe you can hope that Samsung support will see your post and weigh in.

Samsung must develop a way to dismiss persistent notifications. I don't need a constant notification on my watch of a voicemail that does not exist. It wastes battery power and annoys the user. THERE IS NO VOICEMAIL. At the very, very least, the notification should disappear when the voice mailbox is accessed (message or not). There also is absolutely no reason for a notification to be ongoing. If a user saw a notification and chose to ignore it, there is no reason to keep reminding them of it. ONGOING NOTIFICATIONS SHOULD NOT EXIST.

I noticed that even when there is a legitimate voicemail notification, I cannot dismiss it until I access the voicemail. This is wrong. At the very least there should be a setting whereby you can a) select if you want notifications to be ongoing and b) select how many times and at what intervals you want to be reminded, or c) not have an ongoing notification at all.

I understand this particular issue seems to be with the Galaxy Watch 4 and T-Mobile, and T-Mobile says their Samsung tech liaison team is working with Samsung, and Samsung will, supposedly, eventually come up with a fix for it. But it would not be happening in the first place if any of the suggestions above were utilized. I also understand that some people have had success with resolving this issue by factory resetting their watch. I refuse factory reset my watch for a minor issue, especially when the backup data may contain whatever error is causing this, and I don't want to have to go through all my settings again after a reset, just to get my watch to function properly.

Put in a ticket, insist on the patch. If needs be, go through your carrier. This is a known issue, but i believe they can only create a oatch ehen and for whom it is occurring.

So Samsung said it's a carrier issue. So I call t-mo who says we can either call Samsung on your behalf or send a warranty replacement. Correct me if I'm wrong but won't the the new watch also have this issue 😂

Not necessarily. When you talk to Tmobile ask for the samsung liaison software development specialists. They should take note of your imei and software versions and get samsung to develop a patch. I know i had to call quite a few times before taking to rhe right team. This is a known issue w/Samsung snd Tmobile. If you take them up on the replacement offer, it's probably easier, but if you restore from backup, you can select not to restore phone data and you shouldnt have the problem. Whatever Tmobile or Samsung did, its been months and the problem had not recurred.

I'm still having the same problem. It runs my battery down which defeats the purpose of even having the watch if the battery is dead.

I'm having the same issue. I solved it (I don't remember how but certainly not factory resetting it) a few months ago and all of a sudden its happening again. The notification is absolutely annoying. Besides not being able to clear it my watch will chime for it over and over, no kidding within minutes of each other for about 30 minutes. I also have T-Mobile & my watch also has a seperate phone line that is paired with my existing number. Its obnoxious and t-mobile or whoever needs to fix it ASAP!!!

Ha! Ha! I solved mine by turning on the moblie data on the watch. No need to reset, call leaving messages and deleatiing them or saying some kind of iincantation. If the data can't reach the watch it can't update. Hope it helps someone.

Anyone getting the voicemail notification on the galaxy 4 watch, when there's no voicemail??? This has been happening since I bought it almost a year ago, and is driving me crazy. I had contacted tech support, spent 3 hours on the phone trying to fix it. Nothing has worked so far. How about a DECENT and RELEVANT update Samsung????!!! Anyone have any helpful ideas?
