I was hoping for a temperature sensor on the watch. I know there is one for the sleep skin. Is there any way I could see the actual temperature of the surrounding while the watch on my wrist? My scenario is when I go for swim I would like to know the current  pool, lake or the ocean water temperature without taking the watch off.

I heard the Watch6 has it, I can't think of a reason they would abandon that in a supposedly more advanced watch.

@Czechammers  The Watch Ultra has the same temperature sensor as the Watch 6. Measuring anything other than skin temperature required the use of 3rd party apps. Not sure if any of those are compatible with the Watch Ultra yet.

Thermocheck 365D allows watches like the Watch 6 and Ultra to measure the temperature of things around you. However, to measure the temperature of the water, you would have to take the watch off and hold it a few centimeters over it to get a reading of the surface temperature.
