Galaxy Watch@Stratton247 The Watch's cellular number must be linked to a cellular number of a phone. Calling or texting the cellular number assigned to the watch won't work. You must call or text the number assigned to the phone linked to the watch.

Galaxy WatchIt's not you, it's them. This rollout of the kids' functionality was botched. It's a lie that you can set the watch up for a child as a standalone device (i.e., as a device with its own number). That's what was advertised, but it's not true. I spent many hours on the phone with my carrier, Verizon, and despite a special plan code set up for this purpose, it can't be done. Now I have to pay a restocking fee to the retailer I bought the watch from. Absolute rubbish.

Galaxy WatchThank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand the importance of have your kids watch set up with the freedom they desire and the protection you desire. Are you using these steps when setting up kids mode: https://news.samsung.com/us/how-to-use-new-samsung-galaxy-watch-experience-for-kids-unpacked2025/
