So i purchased a watch 6 cellular device from best buy get it added to my phone, had to get number changed, and then the issue starts, i am unable to get text messages on my watch if the phone is shut off. I should be receiving them no matter what.....att techs in store were done and said they were out of options. So i decided to purchase tge watch 7 and start fresh....any ideas as to why i cant get messages on data? Stumped! I hope it does not happen with my new one
I have the exact same problem with my Watch6 Classic LTE on Google Fi. I spent wasted time with their tech support and got nowhere. Both Google Fi's and Samsung's websites state that no phone is needed for calls and texting with these LTE watches, then there's a line stating that texting may not work without the watch being connected to a phone. Nowhere is it stated why this is. Good luck with your new phone!
