I'm not sure if @SamsungMobile actually listens or acts upon our comments in these forums (they haven't heard me before), but here goes:

Body Roundness Index (BRI) is a better indicator of overall mortality risk than Body Mask Index (BMI).

Evidence:

What I want from Samsung?
Use the above evidence to replace BMI with BRI by allowing Samsung Health and Watches to calculate BRI using an individual's measurements in either metric or imperial units per the following formula from JAMA paper:

364.2 − 365.5 × √(1 − [waist circumference in centimeters / 2π]2 / [0.5 × height in centimeters]

I don't think there would be a way to measure body roundness automatically. The user would have to manually input their measurements. The whole point of automation is to not have to do that. Hence, the BMI measurment through the watch. Of course with the advent if AI, there should be a way to calculate the measurement by the user taking a selfie.

Agree, less about the automation initally (though with AI selfie as you say, this could be a good way) and more about using a better measurement even if calculated with manual waist and height inputs as a start

You should edit this post to tag it as a feature request, so there's more chance of Samsung mods seeing it.
