Home TheaterLooks like it to me. Dad doesn't want to admit it, but I think that most of these are going to be bricked.

Home TheaterI had. Samsung bd-D5500 that started doing the same exact thing. Going on power cycle loop and then trying to read disk and repeat again after 2-4 minutes.. it was annoying and couldn't play a any disk with it, as it kept doing it regardless of disk being in or not. I gave up and threw it last week and now I see widespread report of this issue. I wish I kept it for the software update.

Home TheaterI have 4 BD J5700s and they have all started to exhibit the same problem within 12 hours of each other. The problem is not solved.

Home TheaterIt does not allow for me to restart, nor can I keep it on long enough to get it fixed. We just got our floors refinished and were ready to sit down and watch a movie, only to find out some bad firmware update basically blew out our entire entertainment system. It includes the DVD player, so we can't watch any movies, nor can I stream anything on the main television, as the entertainment system had the streaming services built in. I know that it has been reported as a problem, but I would like to know when they plan on releasing a fix for this, and how will it download if my system can't even stay on long enough to roll back the last useless update?
We've been nothing but satisfied with our product for five years, and this is really putting a damper on our enthusiasm for it. Please fix this soon.

Home TheaterI've seen two views. One says they need an update and the other says that their certificates expired due to poor update schedules, in which case I'm not sure how that could be fixed.

Home TheaterSame problem from Florida and it started happening exactly the same from 06/18. When can we expect a fix from Samsung?
