Home TheaterSince the update, the soundbar is unresponsive and can't be reset.
Seems like quite a few people with the issue

Home TheaterIs this the way of Samsung to say that they caused a big mess? I'm still waiting for the public statement.

Home TheaterI am from Bangalore, India. A technician came today and tried everything all of us here potentially have tried (poweroff/on .reset etc). I told him this is a worldwide problem and he should read the updates in your forum and I showed him this forum. He called his senior tech who was reluctant to speak to me saying " I don't talk to customers". All I wanted to tell him was that this is a worldwide problem and you need to get some confirmation from your senior level on the next action and then send someone to my home. But he won't listen! The tech who came here left with an update his manager will assign someone else. No update here on the forum from Samsung as to what could be done. What a shame!

Home TheaterI bought a Q990D a few weeks ago. Was in the process of installing it when i read about this issue. I've left it without power for now. I did reach out to Samsung (netherlands) and asked their advice. Support did aknowledge the issue right away, saying they are working on a (software)-fix. She told me i would be able to install the soundbar while keeping it from potentially updating. Haven't tried it yet. I think i'll wait.

Home TheaterLooks like US page now shows 1016, so they at least are silently confirming 1020.7 broke things. Now they need to figure out the plan. We can't continuely have some agents suggest sending it in, others get tech home calls, and others say to wait for an update.
Although in one of the txt files, it is being labeled as 1017, and the other 1016.
01017.2024-10-24 vs 01016.2024-10-18
