Kitchen and Family HubWe have had our RF29BB89008M for a couple of weeks now and are finding some issues. The one I'm writing about in this post has to do with opening of the left door. Because this door has the center divider, it is much harder to open this door than the right side and in fact usually opens the right door a little just to open the left. Is there something that can be done to remedy this? We have had french door refrigerators before and haven't had this issue so I'm not sure what the problem is. I just know it's hard to open and usually ends up opening both doors.

Kitchen and Family HubHi there, Thanks so much for posting about this. There are a couple factors that can affect the door's ability to open smoothly. I'm first providing a link to our guide on adjusting the doors. This guide can walk you through how to adjust the height and levelling of each of the doors. Often times this can resolve any issues with opening and closing the doors.

My next recommendation would be to use a food safe lubricant spray on the hinges of the door flap. It's possible, since the refrigerator is so new, that the hinges may be tight or dry, causing added friction and preventing a smooth open. However, if these suggestions don't resolve the issue, you may want to check with your retailer about exchange options.
