After thorough research, it does not appear your model has the external lighting however the dispenser's panel does have LED lighting when engaged. Please note some of our models in the series RF22R, RF23R, RF24R, RF28R, and RF28A, are not manufactured with a dispenser light as of Jan. of 2022. Units manufactured before this timeframe may include a dispenser light. However, this specification was changed in later models. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Hi there, Thanks so much for asking about this. I've checked the user manual (linked below) to be sure, but this model does not have a dispenser light.
I just purchased a RF22A4221SR smart refrigerator and there’s no light when using the water dispenser. It appears to have a light under the top of the left side but it doesn’t come on. Am I missing something? I would think it would have one, you shadow the front of the fridge when using it.
I see that they stoped installing them in this refrigerator in January of 2022. Such a simple little thing that makes a big difference. I’m betting the wire harness still has the plug in for it.
