ARC not working properly when cable box plugged in

I've been having problems with the ARC connection between my Samsung - 65” Class Q70D Series QLED 4K Smart Tizen TV and LG Soundbar.  After lots of trials I've determined that when I connect my cable box the connection between my TV and Soundbar starts not working properly.

It starts with not always controlling the sound although it showing on the TV screen as it is adjusting.  It sporadically works. Then after some period of time the sounds stops and the Soundbar shuts off.

 

Any suggestions?

Hi there, Thanks so much for reaching out about this. I first recommend checking to make sure the TV, soundbar, and cable box are all up to date on their software. My next suggestion would be replacing the cables between your TV and cable box, as well as between the TV and soundbar to ensure they are not the cause of the issue. If that does not resolve the issue, I recommend doing a factory reset on the TV. Please let us know if this helps.
