DU800 Impossible to add apps on Home Scree.

I've just purchased a Samsung TV Crystal UHD 4K DU800. I tried to add apps on the Home Screen – that by the way I absolutely hate with all these suggested videos – and it's impossible to add them on the overcrowded home screen.

Step 1 - I downloaded the app.

Step 2 - I clicked on "Add to Home". 

It's absolutely NOT showing on the home screen. Nothing has changed on the Home screen so I cannot have the app I watch the most (Spectrum TV) on the home screen.

If I go the App menu it's showing Spectrum TV as added on the Home screen but it's not.

Is it a bug? 

Also any chance we can have only the main apps at the bottom of the screen like on previous Samsung TVs and not all confusing suggested videos?

Forgive me if this is too basic but on the Home Screen select, "Fou You" and if you don't see the app drag the app line left or right to expose more apps.

Thanks for your help but I removed most of the them so I only 3 showing and when I added one it should show. It wasn't. I turned off the TV and hours after it was added. But it doesn't add the apps on the home screen right after but hours.

Glad it's working but it should move it to the home screen immediately.  Try unplugging the TV for 30-60 seconds and adding another app and see if that reset helped.

How did you select "add to home"? If I long press on the app it just opens it. There's no settings icon in the top right either, as like 99% of videos show.

AND HOW THE F DO YOU CHANGE THE INPUT?? 

This has to be the dumbest "smart" TV I've ever used.

On Home move to the "Apps".
Then scroll to the bottom to go to "Apps settings".
Then you will see several apps. And moving from one app to the other you will see "Add to Home". Just have to move to the button and click OK on the remote.

Otherwise, I agree that this TV was very hard to set up because I struggled to find the Apps menu and several basic stuff were hard to find.

Home->Apps->scroll all the way to the bottom->Settings->click on the app

How do I add a question I have about the icons going to the home screen. I don't want them to go to home screen every time I try to move one. Then I can't figure out how to get it off home screen and back on the regular app pages.

Slide all the way to the right on the app icon line of the Home Screen and click on EDIT.  Now you can highlight the app yoou want to remove and select remove.
